It’s been a couple of months since my last Anamorphot 2x video. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to make a short documentary on electronic cigarettes and their impact here in Houston but I’m afraid I’ll have to scrap that project since I most of the people I’ve talked to don’t feel motivated to be on camera. Well shoot…..what to do? Nothing like finding some motivation/inspiration through a little shutter therapy at another Houston festival. This time it’s the Japan America Society of Houston’s Japan Festival 2015. This is my first time attending this festival and the setup was somewhat similar to the Texas Lunar Festival with one big difference. COSPLAY!! Now granted there weren’t nearly as many cosplay participants as Anime Matsuri but all these costumes were very well done. Lots of families and young adults came out to celebrate in high spirits despite horribly overcast skies with a 60% chance of rain all day. I’m glad I made it out today, otherwise I might have missed out on some these beautiful shots from these wonderful, kind people.
